How to do it
Start by holding a dumbbell in one hand with your arm fully extended to the side using a neutral grip. The other hand can be kept fully extended to the side, placed by the waist, or gripping a fixed surface for stability. Rotate your wrist so that the palm of your hand is facing forward. Slowly lower the dumbbell behind your head while keeping your upper arm stationary. Focus on working your forearm as you lower the weight. Pause when your triceps are fully stretched. You can perform this exercise while sitting or standing.
