About

Bodyweight training, built by one developer

BeStronger started as a single Android app for home workouts without equipment. It grew into a family of 26 apps for iOS and Android, sharing one exercise library and one idea: you should not need a gym, a subscription or an internet connection to get stronger.

What is on this site

Everything the apps contain, readable in a browser without installing anything:

  • 816 exercises, each with the muscles it works, the equipment it needs and an animation of the movement.
  • 130 ready sessions you can read, or run in the browser with timers and voice cues.
  • 30 programs — day-by-day plans and progressive rep ladders that build from a handful of reps to a hundred.
  • Six timers and calculators: tabata, boxing rounds, HIIT, EMOM, a calorie estimate and a water tracker.

The content is translated into twelve languages. The interface labels are still English in all of them — that is being fixed, and a page shows up in a language only once its own text is actually translated, never machine-filled.

Free, and offline

The apps work with the plane in flight mode. Nothing here needs an account, and this site does not ask you to make one. Two of the programs are paid inside the apps; everything else is free.

Who builds it

One person, which is why the catalogue grew the way it did — one app at a time, each solving something the last one did not. If something is wrong, broken or missing, writing to shvagerfm@gmail.com reaches the person who can fix it. See Contact.

This site replaced an older one

It takes over from bestronger.club, which listed the apps and nothing else. Old links still work: every app page from that site redirects to its page here.
