How to do it
Sit on a stool, bench, or stability ball with your thighs parallel to the floor and your knees bent at or near a right angle. Hold a pair of dumbbells in your hands and place them on your knees. On the count of one, raise your heels off the floor and transfer your weight to the balls of your feet, lifting your knees as high as possible. On the count of two, slowly lower your heels back down. Perform the exercise in a controlled and smooth manner, avoiding any sudden movements. Focus on finding your range of motion that allows you to feel a burning sensation in your calf muscles.
